Terms of Service for MackBooks LLC

Specific professional services provided to clients may also be governed by a separate engagement letter, proposal, service agreement, or other written agreement. If there is a conflict regarding the scope or terms of a professional engagement, the applicable engagement agreement will control.

  • Financial and business advisory services

  • Other accounting or financial services agreed upon with the client

The specific services provided to each client are determined by the applicable engagement agreement or other written scope of services.

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information necessary for MackBooks LLC to perform the agreed-upon services.

Clients remain responsible for reviewing information and documents provided to them and for making business, financial, investment, and management decisions.

Clients are also responsible for maintaining appropriate access controls and protecting usernames, passwords, financial accounts, and other sensitive information.

3. Professional Services

Information provided through our website or general communications is for informational purposes and does not, by itself, create a professional engagement.

A professional relationship and specific scope of services are established through an engagement letter, proposal, service agreement, or other agreement accepted by MackBooks LLC and the client.

Services not included within an agreed scope may require a separate engagement and additional fees.

4. Payments and Fees

Fees and payment terms for professional services are established in the applicable engagement agreement, proposal, invoice, or other written arrangement.

Clients agree to pay amounts due according to the applicable payment terms. MackBooks LLC may suspend or discontinue services for overdue amounts, subject to the terms of the applicable engagement agreement and applicable law.

5. Electronic Communications

By providing contact information to MackBooks LLC, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically when appropriate, including through email, client portals, and other electronic communication systems.

Electronic communications involve inherent security and delivery risks. Clients should use secure methods provided by MackBooks LLC when transmitting sensitive financial, tax, or personally identifiable information.

6. SMS Terms and Conditions

MackBooks LLC may offer SMS and MMS communications to clients and other individuals who have consented to receive text messages from us.

Messages may include:

  • Appointment reminders

  • Document and information requests

  • Tax and compliance deadline reminders

  • Account or service updates

  • Client portal notifications

  • Responses to client inquiries

  • Other communications related to requested or ongoing services

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing services from MackBooks LLC.

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to a message. After opting out, you may receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from that messaging program unless you subsequently opt in again.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

11. Termination of Services

Professional engagements may be terminated according to the terms of the applicable engagement agreement.

Upon termination, clients remain responsible for fees and other amounts properly due for services performed through the effective date of termination.

MackBooks LLC may also restrict access to its website, portal, or communication systems in cases of misuse, security concerns, unlawful activity, or termination of the applicable client relationship.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

MackBooks LLC may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements.

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the website or applicable services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
